How to put up a bamboo ceiling
- Fix a timber batten or metal frame grid to the ceiling or beams, spaced about 40–60 cm.
- Unroll the bamboo mat across the frame, running it in one direction.
- Staple or wire it to each batten, keeping the tension even and overlapping the joins.
- For a false ceiling, drop the frame below the structure and leave a gap for cove lighting.
- Overhead and out of the rain, it needs almost no upkeep.
