Our thick peeled reed fence pairs a larger 5–8 mm stem with a high-density weave — the practical middle of the range. The reed is expertly peeled for a smoother, refined finish, and the stems are bound firmly together into a solid, good-looking shield.
Thicker reed stems make a more substantial, robust fence that is well equipped to endure weather and everyday knocks, and each fence is treated to resist insect infestation and decay.

How private is the thick peeled 5–8 mm reed fence?
Woven at high density, it closes up to about 90% of the view — strong everyday privacy for gardens, balconies and terraces.
What is the difference with the extra-thick 8–10 mm version?
The extra-thick grade uses heavier stems at our maximum density and closes up to 100%. This 5–8 mm version is slightly more open but lighter on the budget — the best seller for everyday screening.
How long does it last outdoors?
At least 3–5 years outdoors in a normal European garden. Reed is one of the lightest natural fencing materials, and its natural yellow colour changes very little over the years.
How is it installed?
Very easy. The fence unrolls and fixes to any existing fence, railing or frame with wire ties — reed is so light that no reinforced frame is needed, and a screen goes up in minutes.
Peeled or unpeeled — which should I pick?
Peeled reed has its skin removed for a smoother, cleaner finish. Unpeeled reed keeps the skin for a slightly rougher, more rustic natural-yellow look and costs a little less. Lifespan and mould resistance are the same, and neither has any smell.
