The material
Real tree bark, rolled out
Bark screening is made from strips of natural tree bark — usually pine or larch — laid vertically and bound onto a galvanised wire framework. The result is a warm, deeply textured screen that looks like it has always belonged in the garden.
Because it's a real natural material, every roll has its own character: rich reddish-brown tones, ridged, cracked bark faces and subtle variation from strip to strip. It weathers gently to a soft silver-brown over the years.
Why choose bark screening
- Instant rustic, woodland privacy — no building required.
- 1.8 m tall rolls fix straight to an existing fence, wire or timber frame.
- Dense, near-solid cover that also softens wind and noise.
- 100% natural bark — no plastic, warm and full of character.
- Blends beautifully with planting, brick and timber.
Where bark screening works
